About the opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced Case Manager to join our Family Violence Services Team. The Family Violence Case Management Program is an 8-week intervention model based on risk and need. Delivering child centred and family focused services, the program aims to address the impact and wellbeing for women and children who are experiencing family violence. 

As a Case Manager you will support children and families with:

  • Initial risk assessments using the MARAM Framework
  • Ongoing risk and needs assessments using the Best Interests Framework
  • Developing Family Action Plans and Safety Plans
  • Intensive short term case management
  • Advocacy and referral to relevant service pathways

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification as per the mandatory minimum qualification requirements for specialist family violence practitioners.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated case management experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector
  • A family-centred and strengths-based approach
  • An understanding of the dynamics of family violence and its impact on women and children
  • Demonstrated understanding of a range of theoretical approaches relevant to working with children, young people and families, including the MARAM and Best Interests Frameworks
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
