Curran Place, located in Ivanhoe is our adult community residential drug withdrawal service. The AOD Child Care worker will assist parents in the Mother Baby service with care for their infants so that they can participate in programs and activities or rest where appropriate as part of their withdrawal.
You will have a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services or equivalent and the required competencies in AOD and qualifications in dual diagnosis (or willingness to undertake). You will also have demonstrated experience working with children, parents/carers and families from an at-risk family background, and previous experience in supporting children aged 0-5 year-old to participate in age appropriate programs. Further, you will have strong communication skills, be able to work as part of a team environment, and manage a range of administrative duties.
