About the role

At Alan Walker Village, an established retirement haven in Carlingford, we seek a special individual for a pivotal role in our residents’ lives. This role entails delivering exceptional café services to our residents and visitors, fostering a harmonious team environment. The position offers day shifts from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, ideal for those seeking work within school hours.

Essential Criteria

• accredited Barista Certification
• strong customer service focus
• previous experience in a café or restaurant setting
• proficiency in operating brewing equipment
• knowledge of sanitation regulations
• flexible availability for varied shifts
• basic math skills and ability to understand customer preferences
• possession or willingness to obtain First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification
• possession or willingness to obtain Food Safety Handling Certification.

Desirable skills

• familiarity with Square POS systems
• eagerness to support the Chef in kitchen operations.
