Wintringham is a not-for-profit organisation providing an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to men and women aged 50-plus who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. We employ over 900 staff and operate from multiple sites across Melbourne, regional Victoria and Tasmania. Your new role

Wintringham is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager working Client side in Construction to join our tight-knit Property Services Team.

Reporting to the Property Services Manager, you will oversee and manage construction of both new development sites, and refurbishment projects across our Metro & regional properties in Victoria (projects include Aged Care, Independent Living Apartments, & Offices etc).

The successful candidate will play a key role working with stakeholders, defining the project brief, as well as management responsibility of these projects through the project life cycle to ensure they are delivered to scope, on time and within budget.

Wintringham is seeking a motivated, process driven professional with demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Projects will vary in nature & size up to $18 million.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake Client sided project management activities at a Senior level, underpinned by strong design and technical - construction knowledge.
  • Independently managing construction/refurbishment projects in accordance with industry established best practice
  • Provide expert project management & project delivery advice / outcomes on projects to be undertaken by the organisation
  • Assist in the strategic development and implementation of new systems and processes to achieve consistent, repeatable results within the Property Services Team & Wintringham.
  • Taking the lead project management role in any internally managed/contracted construction projects.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • A tertiary or post-graduate qualification in construction management, project management (Construction), building surveying or structural engineering
  • Proven (demonstrated) experience in providing solid technical, design, project management and project delivery.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, spoken & negotiation)
  • Well-developed personal organisational skills with the ability to prioritise duties, work independently and flexibly and meet demanding timelines
  • Ability to develop organisation wide relationships and translate stakeholder requests into coherent briefs and outcomes
  • A commitment to continuous improvement
  • A commitment to social justice
  • A current drivers licence (mandatory)
