Macarthur Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service is a free service for women and children needing support relating to the complexity of Domestic and Family Violence. These supports can include support at Court for Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO’s), advocacy, referrals, providing information and anything related to issues of D&FV in the Macarthur area. Macarthur WDVCAS is auspiced by Macarthur Legal Centre and funding is administered by Legal Aid NSW.

We are seeking a DFV Specialist Worker (Multicultural Focus) - to join our friendly and professional team based in our office in Campbelltown. This is a part time position (21 hours/week). The worker will be able to have flexibility around their hours each day as agreed with the Manager. This role is also open to multicultural workers with less experience who have a knowledge of D&FV but are keen to learn and able to work in a very busy office.

The DFV Specialist Worker (Multicultural Focus) - will be responsible for initial contact with all referred clients through the CRP (and externally) including intake and risk assessment. Other requirements will be to prepare and send appropriate referrals for the client and prepare the necessary paperwork for the client if they are referred to the Safety Action Meeting. As the Multicultural Focus Worker there will be a need to engage with multicultural communities and workers. There will also be a requirement to attend Court on the ADVO List Days and support the team generally.
