WCIG
  • Highly autonomous role with the ability to plan your own day
  • Position will be supporting several sites in the north-eastern Melbourne region
  • Industry-leading salary PLUS salary packaging and attractive employee benefits

Westgate Community Initiatives Group Ltd (WCIG) is a well-known, community based not for profit organisation that is committed to creating practical responses to unemployment in the north-eastern and western regions of Melbourne and Geelong. We are currently looking for a highly autonomous and driven Post Placement Support (PPS) Consultant to join our DES team servicing the NE region of Melbourne on a permanent full-time basis. Offices include Epping, Greensborough, Heidelberg, Lilydale, Northcote, Ringwood and Wantirna South.

The Role:

You will be responsible for all post-placement support once someone has secured employment or education. You will be working with people with a psychiatric, sensory and/or physical disability to overcome any workplace challenges. It is essential that you are a people person that is committed to helping others achieve their full potential. Accurate records must be maintained, and information such as payslips, invoices and wage subsidies are to be collated in a timely manner. You are required to identify any potential fall outs, which must be communicated to your Manager.

Working closely with our sites, you must form and continually develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Although you will be managing a caseload of people already in work, you will be spending a lot of your time maintaining employer relationships to increase retention rates whilst securing extra business.

About You:

Previous experience in an employment services role is preferred. However, we are not looking for someone to tick all the boxes in our selection criteria. Applicants without industry experience or those who have a case management/business development background are welcome to apply. We are looking for someone that is highly adaptable and flexible, as no day will be the same. If you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach!

You must have a driver's licence, as you will be required to travel.

What’s on offer:

  • Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) with industry-leading salary levels that increase by 2.5% for the life of the agreement
  • Above Award personal, compassionate and maternity leave schemes
  • Free Employee Assistance Program for all employees
  • Salary packaging
  • Flexible working hours for work-life balance
  • Option of purchasing additional two weeks of annual leave
  • Emphasis on staff training and professional development
