Marketing Coordinator (Voluntary) - Northern Beaches / Remote

Women & Children First

about us

Women & Children First is a local charity on the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore of Sydney supporting women and children escaping domestic violence and abuse. We provide crisis accommodation through our refuges as well as wrap-around services to support families as they start to heal and rebuild their lives.

We are looking for a volunteer to support us with our marketing activities so we can continue to raise our profile, increase our online presence and elevate our fundraising efforts. You will play an integral role in raising awareness of our work, sharing stories of strength and hope from our clients and helping us build a thriving community through online and offline activities. Experience using social media platforms and marketing automation tools is a must!

Ideally, you’d be able to commit to approx 4-8 hours per week, using your skills to make a meaningful difference while working at your own pace to balance other personal and professional responsibilities.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Someone who is passionate about our cause and has empathy towards women and children escaping violence and abuse
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) with basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting
  • Proficiency in using CRMs and marketing automation tools such as Campaign Monitor (or similar)
  • Comfortable using mainstream design tools such as Canva
  • Creativity in content creation and storytelling
  • An understanding of CMS such as Wordpress is desirable
  • Ability to work independently

Whilst this is a voluntary position, it is a unique opportunity to use your skills in a meaningful way and make an immeasurable difference to the lives of women and children. You’ll also be joining a team of supportive and compassionate women who are committed to building a safe and nurturing environment for our clients and colleagues.

A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is a requirement for this role.

Please submit your resume and a brief statement of interest.
