Vision Australia is a leading national provider of blindness and low vision services in Australia. We work in partnership with Australians who are blind or have low vision to help them achieve the possibilities they choose in life.

We support more than 27,500 people of all ages and life stages, and circumstances. We do this through 28 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; 30 clinics; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced NDIS Lead to join our team operating from one of our flagship offices in Kooyong, Coorparoo or Parramatta.

Responsibilities

As an NDIS Lead at Vision Australia you will:

  • Lead change management and identify and recommend mitigating strategies on key opportunities and risks for Vision Australia to support clients under 65 years old in a financially sustainable way.
  • Coordinate and report on NDIS Action Plan activities, including NDIS Steering Committee and lead implementation of decisions, and manage deliverables and reporting against agreed milestones.
  • Identify, coordinate, and implement systems and processes throughout the business value chain for NDIS customers.
  • Lead policy, systemic advocacy and submissions work related to NDIS.
  • Provide Board and Executive briefings and presentations.
  • Provide intelligence on NDIS reform status and developments.
  • Represent Vision Australia at Departmental, Agency, Sector forums and meetings.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Excellent understanding of NDIS policy and related national reforms and state government agreements and approaches
  • Experience in commercial operations and/or process mapping
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Project management skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
