At the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) we are not just about elections, we are about enabling all Victorians to actively participate in their democracy. The VEC conducts State and local council elections and is responsible for promoting public awareness and understanding of electoral issues in the Victorian community. Our goal is to be change ready and responsive to legislative changes and community expectations in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
The Engagement Lead within the Education and Inclusion team is pivotal in managing the four Community Engagement Coordinators, as well as collaborating with the Education Lead to design and manage the VEC's community-based electoral education and engagement programs. The role is key to supporting meaningful connections between organisations, stakeholders, the community and VEC staff to ensure a high level of collaboration in order to improve electoral participation of traditionally under-represented groups.
