About the Organisation

The Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) was established in 1973 to address the specific medical needs of Victorian Aboriginal communities. 2023 marks as a landmark year as VAHS proudly celebrates it’s 50-year of providing a comprehensive range of medical, dental, allied health and social services for our Community.

As well as providing a variety of medical services, VAHS is committed to supporting the well-being of the Community through contributions to community events and activities. VAHS is also committed to assisting research into the ongoing needs of the Community.

About the Opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for the daily cleaning and maintaining the VAHS Fitzroy site Monday to Thursday 4 – 8pm, Friday 3 -7pm. You will be working unsupervised to provide a high-quality cleaning service.

Key Selection Criteria

To be considered for this role you must have the following.

• An understanding of and commitment to the Aboriginal Community.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivated.
• Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a commitment to constantly deliver a high standard of work.
• Have at least three Covid19 vaccinations.
• Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety principles
• Current Victorian driving license
• Current Working with children check
