  • Part-time position (between 0.2-0.4 FTE)
  • Salary - Dependent on experience and skill-set, but we generally pay our nurses more than mainstream general practice nurses.

We are seeking for a primary care nurse to join our team from January 2024. You will be joining a team of nurses whose experiences ranges from new-to-primary care to highly-experienced in primary care and refugee health. Ideally, we are seeking someone with some experience who will be able to mentor less-experienced colleagues, but who will also be able to learn from our more experienced nurses. Essential criteria

  • APRHA registration and other pre-requisites for working as a nurse in Australia (such as visa, police clearance etc.)
  • At least 5 years working in the primary care setting
  • Nurse immuniser credentials
  • At least two years working with disadvantaged populations (such as refugees, First Nations Australian, the homeless etc.)

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience in one of the following areas - mental health, infectious disease, state-wide refugee health program, contraception / women's health.
  • Women's health nurse credentials.
  • Overseas humanitarian work (e.g. Medecins Sans Frontiere, Red Cross etc.)​
