SEEKING REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGISTS WITH FORENSIC EXPERIENCE

The Organisation

Urban Psychology is a dynamic and exciting organisation that specialises in forensic assessment, intervention and consultation services. Our psychologists work across a range of forensic settings and are committed to providing the highest quality clinical services to the forensic clients that present the greatest risk to our communities. Our objective is to support forensic clients to make the personal changes necessary to live an offence-free lifestyle.

We are an organisation that is funded through the State Government to provide rehabilitation services to prisoners and offenders in the community. This population is significantly disadvantaged and the work we do is in terms of addressing their offending behaviour and providing access to improved mental health services. We also work with these individuals to explore alcohol and other drug issues as well as transitional needs in terms of housing, accommodation and other services.

We have a well–established team of full time and part time staff as well as a number of sub-contractors. We pride ourselves on being a professional, competent and supportive team and we provide extensive opportunities for peer and professional supervision. We also enjoy our work, celebrate the small successes and look for opportunities to have fun!
