About the opportunity

The Finance Officer provides a range of financial administration and transactional support services to the team at InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders. The Finance Officer works in compliance with financial, procurement and other relevant policies and procedures to support the continuous improvement and integration of new financial systems and processes and ensures that they are embedded in an efficient and effective manner for the client team.

The Finance Officer will have the opportunity to provide day to day, transactional accounting services to their client, as well as providing advice on relevant procedures and policies where required.

• Has a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Commerce accompanied with relevant experience
• Has operational financial management and reporting skills
• Is proactive and results focused, demonstrating a good degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Has computing skills including experience with Microsoft packages, data processing, financial accounting systems and web-based purchasing systems
• Has problem solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to exercise initiative, judgement and discretion when dealing with complex issues and confidential matters
• Is familiar with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Concur or similar financial systems
• Has experience working with grant funding (desirable)
• Has experience working within a health-related setting (desirable).
