About the role

Family Foundations is a community engagement program that provides a safe space for families to connect to other families, service providers and learn new skills.

In partnership with Sudbury Community House Association Inc and Uniting WA, we are expanding the Family Foundations program that helps vulnerable families in our community.

The purpose of this position is to coordinate a community service program, oversee staff within the program and further develop the program through building community links, service provider links and securing sustainable funding.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

  • Effectively lead a team in the delivery of the Family Foundations programs/services and effectively manage team and individual performance
  • Manage the operational delivery of the Family Foundations program/service within agreed contractual, legislative and planned requirements
  • Ensure the Family Foundations program budgets and resources are effectively managed on a day-to-day basis
  • Build and maintain effective and proactive relationships with key community services networks and other relevant agencies
  • Ensure that professional practice standards and guidelines are met within the delivery of program/service
  • Apply advanced therapeutic knowledge while managing service delivery complexity and ongoing intrinsic risk within the program/service
  • Implement a regular, effective supervision process to ensure team members are supported, developed, and motivated in the delivery of quality services
  • Utilise quality selection and retention practices to support a capable, motivated, and committed team in the delivery of quality services.

Ideally, you will have

  • Experience in developing and managing a program
  • Experience in community development and engaging with community organisations
  • Experience in the development and delivery of groups
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal communication.
  • Demonstrated administrative skills including computer literacy
  • Sound knowledge of current funding environment
  • Experience in writing submissions
  • Experience or understanding in the research and/or evaluation of Human Services.
  • Well-developed ability to liaise and engage with a range of stakeholders in a variety of contexts with community, government, and external not-for-profit agencies.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision but also be able to contribute effectively within a team environment to achieve goals and outcomes.

Role Qualifications and Employment Conditions

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, community development or relevant area or previous experience working in the area of program development, community development or family services
  • Current C Class drivers licence
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
