Role purpose
This role is responsible for delivering analysis and insights focused on both internal commercial practices and external market landscape. The role will support pricing processes and the strategic program of Additional Services, with recommendations for Seniors Services based on quantitative and qualitative inputs.
The successful candidate will be exposed to senior SMEs and stakeholders across the business in order to develop insights and recommendations the organisation can act on.
The role is targeted at a graduate level or 1-2 years’ experience seeking a fast pace environment and rapid development opportunities.
As the Research and Insights Analyst, your role specifically will:
- Provide direct data, insight and analytical support to the Growth Lead and team
- Provide direct support to the Growth Lead in developing and administering Additional Services, including penetration, expansion, and delivery audits
- Produce market research and actionable insights for pricing strategy and market positioning
- Identify and qualify potential acquisitions opportunities though proactive market scanning
- Source, report and analyse sales and performance data from across the business to support performance uplift, market positioning and strategic outcomes
You will also:
- Support due diligence and local-market analysis for merger and acquisition activity
- Support qualitative assessment of competitive landscape
- Identify inefficiencies and duplications of effort including identifying opportunities to improve processes through automation, codification or systemisation
- Ensure all relevant internal stakeholders are regularly communicated with and remain informed and involved with regard to sales and pricing updates/initiatives as required.
- Contribute, as required, to specific projects within the Seniors Services strategy and Commercial Team
- Prepare papers and other documents to communicate project status, outcomes and intent
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Degree in an analytics-focused field
Skills and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of data models and manipulation including:
- Be organised, methodical thorough and disciplined.
- Possess good skills at navigating complex organisations, forging relationships and managing through influence
- Simple statistical models (i.e., regression, ANOVA etc) and ability to apply them
- Simple joins (i.e., left, inner etc), including when to apply them
- Reporting using visual and other mediums with advanced spreadsheeting skills (or see below for other languages).
- Understanding of market research and analysis processes
- Focus on analysis over reporting with ability to describe the difference and rationale for both
- Stakeholder management skills and can demonstrate experience working with competing stakeholder demands
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of self and others
Even better
- Knowledge of the Aged Care industry and funding instruments
- Knowledge of and experience with client management systems (i.e., SalesForce, MS Dynamics CRM, etc.)
- Previous experience in data analytics using data-orientated languages (i.e., SQL, Python, R, etc.)
- Demonstrable previous experience developing reporting and automations (i.e., DAX/PowerBI, Power Automate, Data Factory, etc.)
- Administration or project coordination experience (i.e., project support, office manager, etc.)
- Understanding of change management frameworks
