About the opportunity:

Due to continuous client demand throughout the Riverina and Wagga Wagga region, we currently have multiple opportunities for Support Workers to join our friendly and supportive Home and Community Care team based at our Wagga Wagga office.

Reporting directly to the team leader for the region, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care to our clients in assisting them to maintain their independence in their own homes.

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Build lasting relationships with a range of clients
• Undertaking of domestic tasks including cooking and housework
• Assist with personal care such as showering and toileting
• Provide transport to appointments and shopping allowing connection to their local community
• Working with clients with dementia and communicating with the broader care team about client’s wellbeing

 Qualifications: 

• Current First Aid certificate
• Current driver’s licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
• Completed HLTHPS006 Module Provide Physical assistance with medication

 Highly Desirable: 

• Previous experience within an Aged Care or Community Care environment
• Have flexible availability including being able to cover weekend, afternoon and night shifts with notice
