About the opportunity

This is a permanent full-time (35 hours/week) opportunity located at Uniting’s Family Relationship Centre site in Campbelltown. Includes some flexibility WFH.  

Uniting is looking for a highly organised and motivated Centre Manager to lead, develop and support its longstanding team in practice and service delivery across Uniting’s Counselling and Mediation post-separation and family law services programs.

This role is responsible for contributing to the development of the strategy of the Directorate, in addition to organizing the planning, budgeting and reporting of activities within the Campbelltown Family Relationship Centre and counselling (FRC/UCM) teams, coordinating key processes within the Campbelltown FRC/UCM team and preparing regular management reports.

Uniting Counselling and Mediation has a long history of high-quality service delivery, being well regarded by Family Law stakeholders.  You will be leading a team of two Coordinators,  Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners, Child & Family Therapists, Intake / Admin Workers, and Senior Administrators.

Uniting Counselling and Mediation offers specialist counselling and mediation support for separated families including individuals, couples, children and young people who are experiencing family separation and breakdown. We also offer family and relationship counselling for personal and interpersonal issues.  We are specialists in post separation support and provide a safe and supportive environment for our clients to do so

About You in the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Psychology or Social Work, or other equivalent and relevant to the field of work.
  • Demonstrated experience and high-level proficiency in management, including budgeting, overseeing physical resources and handling operational and administrative responsibilities
  • Possess exceptional clinical supervision skills, combined with superior ability in case management and assessment
  • Knowledge of and ability to undertake management of Family Law Services programs
  • High level knowledge and understanding of the issues impacting on children and families during and following separation
  • High level understanding of the issues impacting on children and families from diverse cultural and linguistic communities, both emerging and established
  • Demonstrated ability to translate identified needs into responsive outcome focused services
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan, and evaluate projects and services
  • Strong ability to market and promote services to create a high profile for the Centre in the community
  • Strong ability to independently grow services through the building of extensive and supportive referral networks
  • Ability to deliver regional and organisational goals
  • High level ability to manage external relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills and the ability to develop motivated, cohesive and effective work teams
  • A demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for the most disadvantaged
  • Skilled at navigating a complex organisation, forging relationships, and managing through influence rather than direct authority as required

Even Better

  • Extensive experience in Social Welfare and Human Services Sector
  • Accredited by the Australian Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, or eligible for accreditation
  • Experience working as a child & family therapist.
