About the Opportunity
- Part time closed period until June 2024 (4 days per week)
- Provide a client driven, person-centred and culturally competent service
- Salary from $87,997 pa, plus super and generous salary packaging
As a Case-worker will provide culturally appropriate early intervention and prevention casework to support a diverse range of community members residing in Brunswick Village.
What you’ll be doing in the role
- Provide a trauma informed casework service to a diverse range of people with complex needs in the Community Village
- Assess individual strengths and needs to develop case plans to promote capacity building with a cultural lens
- Be available to provide culturally competent early intervention/prevention services to individuals within the Brunswick Village at times and locations suitable to their needs
- Advocate effectively for services users, linking them ongoing support
What you need to succeed
- Demonstrated understanding and experience working with Aboriginal families, young people and communities particularly in regional areas
- Relevant qualifications including social sciences, welfare or other areas of study relevant to community services
- Experience in trauma informed case work or other relevant field
- Sound communication and advocacy skills
