Are you a dynamic educator with a passion for shaping the future of Aged Care professionals? Uniting, a leader in aged care and community services, is seeking an enthusiastic Trainer and Assessor to join our Uniting Institute of Education (UIE) team.
As a key member of our Uniting Enterprise Registered Training Organisation, you'll play a crucial role in delivering accredited training programs to Uniting staff, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured, flexible, relevant and interesting training sessions and assist all learners regardless of level to achieve their training goals
- Use teaching and assessment strategies that are fair, valid, current and sufficient.
- Complete and maintain all training records accurately, document assessment results and submit to the Course Coordinator within compliance timeframes.
- Communicate and work closely with the Learning@Uniting Team and other key stakeholders regarding student support matters.
- Compile, facilitate and assess units of competency as outlined in the training and assessment strategy in a timely manner.
- Complete and maintain a current UIE trainer and assessor mapping matrix.
- Be able to travel to training venues across NSW and ACT as required.
Qualifications
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Current industry skills aligned with qualifications being delivered.
- Registered or Enrolled Nurse with current registration to practice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
- Experience delivering engaging accredited training programs.
- Proficient in face-to-face and virtual training delivery.
- Cultural competence working with diverse backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a track record of delivering results.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Systematic, thorough, accurate, and disciplined.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, training design, and planning.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite.
- Ability to work to a schedule and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Current national police check and Working with Children check.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Current ABN.
- Current professional Indemnity Insurance.
