The Position

You will work closely within the Coordination Support team and be responsible for coordinating the provisions of services for UFC, clients, resolving situations and ensuring ongoing communication with staff, clients, families, and other stakeholders. Equipped with your experience in the Disability Services industry, you will be motivated and proactive with the ability to rapidly learn the ropes and “hit the ground running”. Your skills extend to identifying and building relationships with referral partners.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Work collaborative in a team to deliver coordination of support services within a person-centred model.
  • Engage with people and their support networks to assist them with all aspects of their NDIS plan. Helping to navigate the NDIS and determine how their funds will be most appropriately spent and what services and supports need to be engaged.
  • Promote United for Care to market and generate interest in our services through connecting with Local Area Coordinators, Disability Service Providers and other organisations.

About You

You will thrive and succeed in our team by bringing the following experience:

  • Certificate III or above in Community Services, Disability support or similar demonstrated experience.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to a fast-paced environment.
  • To work collaboratively, inclusively, and proactively with a commitment to your own development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a strength in comprehensive report writing is a must.
  • Experience in developing and implementing person-centred approaches that support people to build their capacity for choice and control over their own lives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and balance competing demands.
  • Ability to build positive relationships, communicate with and advocate for people of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS framework is desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment and alignment to United for Care’s Vision, Values and Mission.
  • Current NSW Driver’s license and registered and insured motor vehicle.
  • Approved National Criminal Record check.
  • Ability to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check.
