Umbrella Multicultural Community Care Services Inc. is a leading provider of community aged care services, based in Perth Western Australia. This rapidly growing organisation has clients from more than 67 countries and staff and volunteers who are multi-lingual and diversity aware. Programs include the Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages and the Community Visitors Scheme.

We are seeking a human resource professional with a sound understanding of HR practices and a desire to have a positive impact in our values-based organisation.

This role will need someone with exceptional communication skills with a ‘hands on’ approach. The successful candidate will be collaborative, confident and innovative; willing to work within and enhance the team environment to cultivate and maintain strong relationships.

The successful candidate will have:

• A tertiary qualification in human resource management or another related discipline and/or 5 years of experience in human resource management
• Experience in recruitment, induction and orientation processes
• Knowledge and experience in employee relations with an excellent understanding of employment legislation
• Experience in performance management, grievance resolution and discipline management
• Knowledge and experience in organisational development
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in workplace, health and safety
• Demonstrated ethical standards and values

• An understanding of the community aged care sector and knowledge of diversity, access and equity issues relating to CaLD and LGBTI seniors are highly desirable but not essential
