The Research Fellow will support a cross-Faculty research project, Designing the future of ageing: an evidence based 3D model of integrated aged care. This project is led by the UTS Ageing Research Collaborative.
The aim of the project is to build an interactive, three-dimensional model (the ‘model’) that identifies common ageing journeys for older Australians, including transitions across different accommodation and care settings (e.g. retirement living, home care, residential aged care). This model will be a tool to help the Australian aged care sector and governments tackle the challenges of integrated aged care and help older Australians and carers make decisions about ageing journey options.
The successful candidate will be under the supervision of Professor Nola Ries in the Faculty of Law and will work collaboratively with other members of the cross-Faculty research team. The Research Fellow will be responsible for undertaking legal and regulatory analysis, including doctrinal research to map and critically analyse legislation and regulatory instruments at federal, state and territory levels as well as drafting content for the 3D model and contribute to project reports and academic articles. The Research Fellow will also participate in events and external engagement activities of the project.
Base Salary Range: $112,310 to $132,925 pa (Level B) - Research Fellow.
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Employee Benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.
This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
