What we are looking for

UNICEF Australia is seeking a Social Media Coordinator who will play a vital role in driving our social media presence and engaging our target audience. With your passion for social media and expertise in content creation and community management, you will contribute to the success of UNICEF Australia, making a difference in the lives of children. We are looking for someone who can develop creative assets, both static and video, that adhere to social media best practice. You are a passionate, creative and flexible individual eager to join a purpose driven organisation.

Your day will include:

  • Create and schedule engaging social media content that aligns with our social media strategy and captivates our target audience, including planning, setting up and monitoring of Meta Ad Campaigns
  • Monitor, measure, and report on social media performance to track effectiveness and identify areas for improvement while staying up-to-date with social media trends
  • Manage our community and serve as the primary point of contact for all requests, messages, and comments across our social media channels, making sure replies are current and relevant
  • Provide regular updates to teams on trends, sentiment analysis, and notable highlights from community moderation
  • Analyse tags, mentions and re-shares to track any notable moments or particularly concerning trends
  • Assist with administration for the team, which may include submitting invoices, filing, and other tasks as they arise

We would like you to have the following skills and experience

  • A passion for creative content and a proven record in delivering written and image-led content for social media, optimised for a range of audiences and different channels
  • A deep knowledge of social media, including understanding of emerging platforms and trends enabling you to represent UNICEF Australia on social media channels
  • Interest and proven experience in community management
  • Ability to use design tools including but not limited to Photoshop, Canva, etc., Filming or video editing for social media is a plus
  • Understanding of social media analytics, with experience in monitoring and reporting on data
