What we are looking for
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Head of Individual Giving at UNICEF Australia will provide sound strategic and dynamic leadership to the Individual Giving team, ensuring the team reaches and exceeds income targets and associated key KPIs. Assuming responsibility for a range of marketing sub teams including Acquisition, Retention, Gifts in Wills and Supporter Experience and working to maintain a culture of digital fundraising excellence and innovation.
If you have the ability to effectively influence and develop teams, are highly accomplished in digital marketing, are focused on creating fundraising value and have a passion for delivering positive outcomes to children around the world, we would love to hear from you.
Your day will include:
- Developing and delivering on innovative fundraising strategies and business plans, primarily within digital channels, for a wide range of marketing channels, and for regular giving and cash programs
- Leading on a sophisticated audience driven supporter experience, resulting in lifetime value increases from a retained and growing supporter base
- Leading on the development of effective, insightful and data-driven acquisition plans to grow UNICEF Australia’s database and fundraising income
- Ensuring strong collaboration and integration across the entire fundraising team and the organisation resulting in delivery of outstanding communication with all types of supporters
- Developing, overseeing and reporting against the marketing budget, ensuring effective cost control and value for money
- Using provided data analytics to inform, create and adjust marketing strategy and planning
- Providing strong leadership and leading by example with an open, positive, enabling management style, ensuring effective learning and growth and team synergies
- Effectively networking with relevant Australian and global bodies to create opportunities and adopt innovation
We would like you to have the following skills and experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or relevant equivalent experience
- Experience leading large teams and managing multi-channel marketing programs
- Highly advanced experience successfully leading and developing digital fundraising programs with a number of years in successful people management
- A commitment to excellence and to the effective use of digital and data technologies to recruit supporters
- A commitment to the aims and values of UNICEF, in particular to UNICEF’s special mandate to protect child rights
- Successful experience implementing leading edge, data driven strategies to leverage fundraising opportunities and achieve outstanding organisational goals
- Excellent analytical skills coupled with experience managing complex budget management across multiple channels to achieve financial targets
- Strong presentation skills
- A genuine interest in and understanding of work in the international aid & development sector
