The Opportunity:

We’re seeking passionate team members to exceed in the delivery of high-quality support, helping to ensure people with a disability are able to achieve their goals and maintain socially valued roles, pursue employment opportunities, friendships and relationships.

As a Supported Living Facilitator (Disability Support Worker), you will be balancing your commitment to actively work in partnership with individuals and their families while helping the people we support, in their own homes and be active in their community.

About you:

This opportunity calls for an outstanding communicator with an ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders including community members and organisations. We’re looking for someone who is values driven and passionate about contributing to and developing a safe environment that supports and engages the people we support and their families.

In addition, you will possess the following:

• Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent support to people we serve and your co-workers
• Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Must be able to model reliability and flexibility by being able to work varied hours and days to meet the needs of the people we serve
• Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English
• Demonstrated experience within Disability and Community sector (always a bonus)
• Commitment to working with people with disabilities using a contemporary disability service approach,
• Demonstrated knowledge of NDIS Standards for auditing and safety purposes
• Completed the NDIS worker orientation module "Quality, Safety and you"
• A current Positive Notice from Disability Services (Yellow Card), willingness to undergo a “Working with Children Check” and a Suitability Card (Blue Card) prior to commencing employment.
• Driver’s License; and
• Current CPR and First Aid CertificateThe people we serve are looking for Support staff that live in Brisbane south, bayside(Cleveland and surrounds) and Gold Coast suburbs.Casual and permanent part time Support staff required.
