Property Administration Worker

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from detail orientated and personable Administrators to join our UnitingCare Team working within our Child and Family Services Team as a Property Administration Officer for the domestic and family violence, and homelessness services.

The opportunity:

In this position you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of appropriate accommodation facilities, tenancy arrangement and administrative support of the supported accommodation assistance program which directly supports people accessing the domestic and family violence refuges and homelessness services.

In your role you will be directly responsible for but not limited to:

  • Meeting with clients to set up rental agreements, addressing a range of tenancy issues, including rent arrears and notice to remedy.
  • Liaising with appropriate agencies in particular within the RTA and/or SAAP guidelines to undertake tenancy management
  • Undertaking a range of administrative functions which require a high degree of judgement, initiative, critical thinking and skills in the performance of work.
  • Directly supporting the outcomes of the program through providing quality administration support
  • Processing a range of general financial functions and records management service to support clients, which will include but not be limited to processing invoices, expenses and reporting to management

About you:

You will be a highly skilled administrator with previous experience that has seen you working directly within a tenancy management capacity. You will have extensive understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and its process along with how that applies in a practical setting. In addition you will be highly capable of adapting to new database applications and have advanced Microsoft system applications knowledge, in particular Excel. Although not essential it would be highly desirable if the successful applicant had a Certificate IV in social housing with additional knowledge and understanding of the community housing sector including the provision of accommodation programs.

In addition it is an inherent requirement of this role that the individual appointed be able to present at the time of appointment a current Driver License. The successful applicant will also be required to undergo a Working With Children (Blue Card) Check.

Due to the inherent requirements of this programs delivery we require female representation from our Supported Accomodation team, as such we are currently looking for a Female Support Worker.To be a female is a genuine requirement for the position under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act, 1997.
