The Bridge is a not-for-profit community services organisation which provides a variety of services for youth and people of adult age who have various disabilities and disadvantages.

Services include open and supported employment, learning and development, leisure and recreation, respite for carers, daytime activities, in-home and community based individualised and shared supports, support coordination and plan management.

About the Role:

The Tender Manager will work collaboratively with the Executive to identify viable new sources of revenue growth that align with strategic priorities. The Tender Manager will build on the foundations created by contracted tender writers and work closely with the Head Office team and manage the preparation and submission of responses to tenders and grant applications.

The Tender Manager is a key leader in our business, accountable for achieving measurable tender and grant results, as well as quality tender and grant submissions to set The Bridge up for the future.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team as s subject matter expert
  • Conducting research and brainstorming key points for proposals
  • Writing and editing proposals
  • Performing risk assessments to determine potential tender lodgements and outcomes
  • Overseeing end to end performance management of tender process with the aim of increased efficiency, service, quality and profitability for the organisation
  • Disseminating feedback on unsuccessful bids with the aim of increasing viable opportunities and successful bids

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in development and management of complex government tender responses, from getting on panels to winning mandates
  • Experienced with the grants application process within the Not For Profit Sector
  • Experienced managing a bid team, including assigning roles and responsibilities according to bid requirements, as well as individual and team capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability in interpreting data and information releases, as well as determining impacts and opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including client-facing and regarding internal communications
  • Experience within, or understanding or, Government Funded Employment Services is highly desired
