The Tennant Creek Women’s Refuge is seeking an experienced Female to commence work within the role of the Refuge Service Team Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate person to apply their skills in family, domestic and sexual violence, to provide support to the women, children, and families of Tennant Creek who are at risk of or are experiencing domestic, family, or sexual violence.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for Leading a Team within our 24/7 Crisis Accommodation to manage day-to-day operations and provide case management supervision.

Selection Criteria for the position. While the following is not a comprehensive list, you will need to have:

  1. A tertiary qualification in Management, Community Services, or a related discipline. Extensive experience within this field will also be looked at favourably.
  2. Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history.
  3. Significant and demonstrable successful management in community sector/ Crisis Accommodation
  4. Demonstrated experience in case management: managing a caseload, case notes, case planning, and assisting clients with implementing case plan goals and safety plans, including with clients who have complex support needs.
  5. Well-developed understanding of risk management in leading a team and managing programs and services that focus on client-centred care as a dimension of high-quality safe prevention and intervention methods.
  6. Demonstrated understanding of reporting requirements
  7. Evidenced competence to lead and build effective, positive relationships.
  8. Advanced level of computer literacy.
  9. The ability to work in accordance with the Refuge’s WHS policy and take reasonable care for your own health and safety as well as the health and safety of others who may be affected by your acts and omissions in the workplace.
  10. Evidenced confidentiality practices (having access to personal and commercially sensitive information).

This position is full-time, attracts excellent remuneration including subsidised housing. A relocation package can also be negotiated.
