A new opportunity has arisen at Telethon Kids Institute for a Research Assistant – Epidemiology Statistics to join the Malaria Atlas Project. The Malaria Atlas Project’s mission is to generate new and innovative methods to map malaria, to produce a comprehensive range of maps and estimates that will support effective planning of malaria control at national and international scales.
In this role, you will conduct high quality research assisting core MAP researchers in the preparation of model inputs, implementation of workflows, and dissemination of results. You will have experience in writing papers for peer reviewed publication plus presenting results and findings. This position includes nurturing constructive working relationships internally and externally with a variety of stakeholders including hospitals, universities and other medical research institutes is critical to the success of this project. Specifically, this role will provide support for our engagement with collaborators such as the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at The University of Washington.

This is a full-time role for 2 years, based at the Telethon Kids Institute in Perth, Western Australia.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Masters degree in a relevant subject area (vector-borne infectious disease epidemiology, disease vectors, geographical information systems, geostatistics, or statistics)

The salary range for this role is $60,361 - $81,784 AUD.
