- Salary: $85 000 (pro rata) + 11% superannuation

We’re looking for a community organiser to support Tasmanian Greens campaigns in the lead up to the next Federal and State elections.
Using your skills in volunteer management, relational community organising, and capacity building, you will bring new people into the Greens, develop their skills and confidence, and build our grassroots community power.
The position is based in the Tasmanian Greens office in Hobart with regular intra-state travel.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Recruit new people into the Greens: Bring new people to the movement who will step up to become volunteers, campaigners, community leaders and candidates.
- Run training and leadership programs : Build the capacity of the Tasmanian Greens community by running training sessions and events.
- Develop and manage a volunteer leadership team: Build a team of local volunteer leaders, develop their skills and support them with training, team meetings and regular 1:1 meetings.
- Facilitate contact with voters: Through the volunteer teams you have established, oversee the execution of our voter contact strategy, including supporting voter and volunteer calling parties, door knocking events and data management.
- Manage events: Lead on running volunteer events like data parties, social events and debriefs.
- Manage and report on campaign data: Ensure campaign supporter and voter data is kept up to date and secure and provide weekly progress reports regarding key KPIs.
