We are seeking a Hospitality Trainer to deliver training to youth and adult clients in our Moorabbin Youth Hub and Bentleigh site.

About Us

Since 1973, our organisation has provided specialist support for people in serious need in Victoria. Our core services focus on addressing social issues of addiction, unemployment, mental health and high risk taking behaviours, supporting our clients to transition back into "mainstream" services and supports. The people who access our services have experienced significant disadvantage or a crisis in their lives and as a result are prevented from reaching their potential. Many have fallen through society's cracks and all too often have been placed in the "too hard" basket. They are people who have a long term range of complex issues or a single issue with a high degree of severity.

As an RTO and ACFE Provider, TaskForce delivers pre-accredited and accredited courses across Victoria. We are committed to the provision of high quality education and training services that support vulnerable people to be able to participate fully in society.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for delivering education to youth and adults contextualised towards employment in a hospitality/food handling environment. The Trainer will use initiative to implement "out of the box" learning programs that focus on teaching basic foundations of hospitality, enabling the participants to pathway into further training in this industry/setting.

About You

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with clients to re-engage them for education and/or employment. Your experience in Community Services combined with the ability to facilitate learning and assessment in a diverse range of settings will help set you up for success in this role. A passion to connect with marginalised people, along with a professional approach is essential.

What you will need:

  • Experience in the Hospitality industry with safe food handling
  • Proven ability to engage with vulnerable cohorts facing barriers in education and employment
  • A qualification in the Community Services sector
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and relevant qualification at the level of teaching is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current driver's licence and working with children’s check

The Trainer is responsible for the overall delivery and supervision of the training program. You will work closely with the ACFE Coordinator to implement and review the program whilst ensuring you meet client expectations.

Why work for us?

This role is an excellent opportunity to be part of a genuine client centred organisation. You will have access to the benefit of generous salary packaging and a supportive team culture!
