The Salvation Army - Samaritan Women and Children Services (SWACS) provides supported accommodation where women with or without children can feel safe. Working with residents, aged 18+, most of whom have experienced complex trauma in childhood or through domestic and family violence. SWACS offers opportunities for women and their children to exit out of homelessness and into independent housing. From crisis and transitional accommodation, right through to case management, education and training, living skills and outreach, SWACS works to re-establish choice, self-worth and confidence in a trauma informed environment, empowering people to move forward in their lives and make positive choices.
The SWACS' team, located in Inner City, Sydney, assists people by providing emergency and supported accommodation with an emphasis on supporting women and children at risk or experiencing homelessness due to DFV to reconnect with community and secure independent housing. We are currently seeking casual DVRE Support Workers to join our dynamic, committed team, to work a rotating roster involving morning, evening, night and weekend shifts.
