Cleaning Manager

We currently have a full time opportunity in our Property Team for an experienced cleaner manager/supervisor. In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of 3 cleaners for our head office located at 261-265 Chalmers street, Redfern. The building will have 300-400 occupants, working Monday – Friday across 3 levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Rostering/training staff
  • Storage/ordering and administering supplies/chemicals
  • Managing duties and cleaning services

We require someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to plan and prioritise the cleaning tasks for the team. The successful candidate will be spot cleaning (and re-filling stations) throughout the day and as well as manage a team of 3 and plan for the evening shifts (3 cleaners).

Hours:

This role is 38 hours per week, working shifts that range between 7am and 7pm, Monday – Friday.

The Essentials:

  • An understanding of and empathy with the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a cleaner manager/supervisor
  • Physical fitness and capability of responding to overall work demands
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) regulations and storage of chemicals
  • Knowledge of WH&S requirements
