The Victorian State Government has funded SalvoCare Northern to provide an exciting new initiative to assist vulnerable clients with Alcohol and Other Drugs issues.

The initiative looks at supporting vulnerable clients and their families through the provision of an intensive family reunification case management program.

The Position:

  • Provides flexible responsive intensive case management support to clients across a spectrum of needs including short term crisis response, medium term and long term intervention
  • Works with families at risk of or that currently have reunification orders in place
  • Engages with families to develop family/child focused case plans
  • Work with parents to enhance their parenting skills and address issues contributing to their substance use and risk to the family unit.

The Northern Victoria Alcohol & Other Drugs Service is a consortium of SalvoCare Northern (Lead) together with Mind Australia; are looking for an experienced Practitioner to join the Alcohol and Drugs and Community Services team located in the Mallee Region.

The position is based in Mildura, with travel required across the Loddon Mallee region and operating Monday to Friday during business hours. Successful applicants will have a current, valid Victorian driver’s licence, police check and current working with children’s check.

Remuneration as determined within the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2010 and the National Employment Standards. Pay point dependant on experience.
