PRAP, the Private Rental Assistance Program, is a preventative intervention that provides holistic support to households experiencing or at risk of homelessness. PRAP is intended to prevent or end homelessness and housing crisis by:
The private rental broker function is focused on generating and maintaining private rental access opportunities for clients, rather than direct client support.
PRAP are currently seeking a values-driven Private Rental Broker to work collaboratively with other specialist homelessness services and agencies where people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness may be present. Other key responsibilities include:
The PRAP Broker is part of a Private Rental team who work closely with Homelessness Entry Point IAP teams and other specialist homelessness services, programs and teams.
This position is based in Sunshine, and will provide services at other sites within the Brimbank-Melton region from time to time.
This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week fixed term to 30 June 2021.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Social stream, level 5.
