ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will lead and guide the response to copyright and compliance in regards to licensing of all forms of music and creative content publications across the Mission Portfolio. Working as a Mission Enabler, to provide specialised practical support to ensure copyright use is in line with best practice. Developing an effective framework that includes capacity building and clear communication.

Responsibilities include:

Specialist leadership

  • Manage availability, suitability, cost for the use and licensing of music and creative content for the Mission Portfolio

Manage external relationships

  • Develop relationships with industry bodies such as APRA/AMCOS; understand licensing frameworks for common content owners such as Hillsong, Sony, CityLight and the International Salvation Army
  • Review licensing requirements on an annual cycle

Reporting and monitoring

  • Analyse and verify SAMIS and other data to establish appropriate licence base
  • Develop exception reporting to determine appropriateness of scope of licensing for the location
  • Managing licensing requirements for opening and closing of locations
  • Managing contact detail changes for appointment or personnel changes
  • Act on breeches or issues directly providing remedies for COs, and report to AO

Develop and deliver as agreed:

  • Event licensing reporting
  • Content creation reporting
  • Arrangement agreement reporting
  • Ensuring licensing lifecycle - audit corps closures and compliance

HOURS

This is a permanent full time position, 38 hours per week.

ABOUT YOU

Required experience

  • Demonstrated experience within a relevant field
  • Sound management and support practices including confidentiality, probity and prioritisation
  • Ability to collaborate across teams internally and externally
  • Proven communication and presentation experience
  • Knowledge of licensing requirements for music and creative content 3-5 years experience, tertiary qualification preferable
  • Knowledge of contract management terms and implications
  • Advanced computer literacy
