About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Administrative Assistant to effectively and efficiently, provide a full range of administrative support to the Victorian Divisional Commander. The successful applicant will share the mission and values of The Salvation Army.

You will successfully

  • Management of schedules and workload whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • Effective diary management
  • Coordinate meetings including preparation of agendas, coordination of attendees, organising briefs, reports, recording of minutes/actions etc as required
  • Assisting the Divisional Commander to manage email correspondence
  • Develop a range of reports, documents and presentations
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate Divisional/State/Regional Events that as hosted by the Divisional Commander
  • Manage and coordinate travel requirements

This position is a permanent part time, 30 hours per week, based at the Victorian State Office in Mitcham. Flexibility of weekly roster can be negotiated (for example, work hours within school times). Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Private Sector Award, Level 4 plus an over award component.

You will have

  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in administration and/or as an executive assistant
  • Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent (desired)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of packages including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel
  • Transcribing recording from Dictaphone to document with accuracy
  • Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
  • Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
