About the role

This (part time or full time) role will play a critical part in Tearfund’s mission of discipleship within and alongside the church in Australia. You will lead our gifted and passionate team to engage churches and faith communities around the country, inspiring them to make a difference in the lives of those facing poverty and injustice.

This will require:

  • A sound understanding of the church landscape in Australia and an ability to engage with high level leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and manage volunteer-run programs and initiatives.

Is this you? To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • Experience with churches and church leaders in Australia.
  • Ability to engage with and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to design volunteer programs and engage with various stakeholders across the Christian landscape.
  • Knowledge and experience in theology, political engagement and fundraising.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to create reports.

Position Location: We are interested in exploring how this position may operate from any region of Australia. Our head office is in Melbourne and regular presence there will be required.
