The Benevolent Society’s ECEI services support early childhood activities and interventions that improve the independence and social participation of children with a disability or developmental delay aged 0 – 6 years.

Our ECEI services are family-centred, and are delivered in a child’s natural setting. Where a child is need of longer term support, we will assist families to access the NDIS.

About the role

As one of our Speech Pathologists, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide early intervention services to children with a development delay and/or disability and their families. Alongside other Child & Family professionals, you will work collaboratively to undertake assessments, identify strengths, promote positive family relationships, and develop individualised client plans.

You will draw on your deep understanding of early childhood development to coordinate delivery of specialised therapy and intervention activities and services, with a particular focus on early childhood education, to assess and support children with developmental delays and/or disabilities.

Who’s the team?

We are a team of Child Development Specialists, Child & Family Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, Workplace Trainers and Team Leaders with a supportive Manager and regional Practice Support Manager.

Terms: Max term (12 month), full time role based in the Moreton Bay Region.

What you need to succeed?

You will be a member of Speech Pathology Australia and have:

  • Experience providing communication and feeding support to children
  • Ability to appropriately respond to the needs of people of all abilities and cultural backgrounds
  • Work within a client centric approach while maintaining a positive mindset
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and connect to peers using technology
  • Current drivers licence and ability to travel to clients
