Right now, we’re seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. About the role

The Senior Manager, EPMO is a critical leadership role overseeing the establishment and operationalisation of the newly formed Enterprise Program Management Office. This role plays and independent and objective role in ensuring a consistent approach is applied enterprise-wide and facilitating decision making on the definition, design and execution of the TAC’s strategic objectives.

Success in this role will see you implementing and maintaining robust governance frameworks, benefit realisation frameworks and other strategic portfolio management tools ensuring the TAC maintains consistent integrity and growth in maturity.

About the Team

The Senior Manager, EPMO role will commence with no direct reports with a view of growing their team as the branch is established and matures over time. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, this role is a critical member of the Performance, Risk & Strategy Senior Leadership Team in establishing a cohesive enabling division for the organisation.

What we’re looking for

Strong collaboration, influencing and negotiation:

  • Demonstrated experience engaging and collaborating with Senior Leaders, Executives and Board members, with strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Provision of internal consultancy support, advice and guidance to individual enterprise projects and change initiatives

Proven leader:

  • Experience managing a team of professionals, creating and maintain an environment where people can fully perform their role and develop
  • Developed emotional awareness and interpersonal skills to identify opportunities for development, provide and seek regular feedback and maintain a high performing and safe work culture
  • Promote an energised culture that is focused on collaborative working in the interests of the organisation as a whole
  • Ability to work in a flexible, agile and fast-paced manner

Strategic management of investments, resourcing and risk:

  • Evaluate and guide the prioritisation and scheduling of initiatives to ensure clarity and effective assessment of costs, benefits, risks and dependencies at a program and portfolio level
  • Ensure continuous maturity in portfolio prioritisation and pipeline management, benefits management, program planning and monitoring at the enterprise portfolio level
  • Establish continuous improvement practices through evaluation and review activities

Enterprise wide program management:

  • Ability to lead the establishment and ensure the effective functioning of the TAC’s Enterprise Program Management Office
  • Ability to apply strong leadership and management skills, coupled with strong Portfolio and Project Management or strategy/business planning skills, to ensure the integrity of the portfolio
