Return To Work Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Return to Work Coordinator to join our team for a 12 month maternity leave contract.

We will trust you with the efficient and effective management of workers compensation claims, ensuring our workers physical and psychological wellbeing is supported throughout the process. You feel like you are making a meaningful contribution as you implement the Injury Management and Recover at Work Program, assist in training around injury prevention and injury management and support the wider Work Health and Safety team.

It is essential that you bring with you:

  • At least 3 years of managing workers compensation claims and return to work programs
  • Experience managing difficult claims, and complex claims with positive outcomes
  • Strong awareness and working knowledge of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 and the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 1998 (NSW)
  • Understanding of workers compensation premiums, claims impacts and strategies to reduce premiums via effective claims management
  • Experience in facilitation training, particularly Manual Handling Training
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities according to agreed time frames and quality standards

And you must have:

  • Return to Work Coordination Certificate
  • Current Unrestricted Class C NSW driver’s licence
  • Police Clearance Check which meets requirements of the organisation
  • Current Working with Children Check clearance
  • Capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job, including remaining in a seated position to perform tasks

It will be a bonus if you also bring:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • First Aid Certificate
