The Summer Foundation’s aim is to resolve the issue of younger people living in Nursing Homes. Our Mission is to create, lead and demonstrate long-term sustainable change that stops young people from being forced to live in nursing homes because there is nowhere else for them.

The Housing Hub Social Enterprise Team is a group of high performing, passionate, and professional people - was created to assist people with disability to see the possibilities for a home for themself, have options to choose from, and find the home that is right for them.

housinghub.org.au is the place to go for people who live with a disability, their supporters and professionals in the sector to search for accessible properties. We are in a period of growth where we launched the website 18 months ago and are seeing increasing numbers of users. We are now focusing on product enhancement and revenue generation. We need to bring on a web developer to lead the ongoing digital initiatives, product enhancements and development of paid features.

The Role:

As the Housing Hub’s Web Developer you will provide a range of front-end and back-end web development activities to both maintain BAU and further develop the Housing Hub website.

You will also consult with staff, identify and coordinate development opportunities across the Housing Hub and provide systems support.

Our ideal candidate will have the technical skills to enable efficient in-house website development and maintenance. You will be the internal expert on all systems that support the Housing Hub website, ensuring product knowledge is available and up to date within the enterprise.

• 2 + years hands on experience with:
  • Modern cross-browser HTML5+, ES6+ and CSS3+ (SCSS)
  • React JS
  • Contentful or other Headless Content Management System (CMS)
  • Working with and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Git and other version control tooling
  • Building responsive websites for commercial projects
  • Map based websites
  • Salesforce connectors/integration
  • Database administration
  • SQL queries
• Front-end and back-end web development
• Skills, understanding and experience of data security, validations and checks
• Automations and integrations: Algolia, Google Data Studio, Salesforce, Heroku database administration (desirable experience)
