ROLE PURPOSE
The Success Works Candidate Support Officer will work with the Success Works Executive Officer and Mentoring Coordinator and is responsible for the provision of high-level support to candidates on their journey to employment. Success Works provides work-readiness/employability skills development, and mentoring support to women affected by the criminal justice system as well as delivering employment opportunities.
Success Works offers an employment matching service by working closely with Training Organisations, Government, and Employer partners to match candidates' skills, experience, and aspirations with identified employment opportunities. There is a high correlation between growing recidivism rates and the lack of employment opportunities for women with criminal records and, as an innovative intervention program, Success Works has been designed to reduce those rising recidivism rates.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- A woman with lived experience of the criminal justice system
- Experience in using web-based software
- Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to teamwork and to the ability to manage multiple priorities, relationships, and conflicting deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to provide and maintain quality service and portray a professional image
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Community Services
RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Program Delivery
- Implement the support protocols, in conjunction with the Success Works Executive Officer and Mentor Coordinator, for the candidate journey from unemployment to employment readiness ensuring support processes are in place to facilitate progress through workshops and mentoring and to access employment opportunities through Success Works.
- In cooperation with the Executive Officer and Mentor Coordinator, analyse program, processes, and methods, identify inefficiencies, and implement strategies for ongoing improvement and expansion opportunities.
- Maintain client data according to agreed processes and security protocols.
People Management
- Work with the Executive Officer, the Mentor Coordinator and volunteers to support candidates to engage and fully participate in the workshop program and the mentor program.
- Attend relevant networking and staff events.
Staff Roles
- Attend staff meetings and educational/training days.
- Adhere to all Success Works policies and procedures.
