Role overview:

  • The Clinical Team Leader has responsibility for the provision of clinical leadership and management to the MHCCC team members
  • Day to day delivery of excellence in quality care provision, ensuring all clinical governance and compliance targets are implemented and met
  • Supporting innovation and quality improvement to ensure evidence-based outcomes for people accessing the service

Requirements:

  • Seeking one of the following: Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist or Occupational Therapist with General AHPRA registration OR registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker (desired but not essential to hold mental health accreditation)
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical leadership role in the mental health sector
  • Knowledge and understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions and clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application in the field of mental health
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake assessment and initial screening activities to determine client care needs, assess risk, apply brief intervention and assist clients to access necessary services
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work well under pressure 
  • Good computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and capacity to learn how to use a clinical software package for electronic client records 
  • Current QLD Blue Card (for working with children) or meet eligibility requirements to obtain one
  • Must hold a full drivers licence.
