Our Service:
Uplift Youth Support Program (formerly known as Youth Severe and Complex Mental Health Service). The key principle of the Uplift program is a commitment to providing age-appropriate, youth-friendly services which are engaging and acceptable to young people and that are congruent with the stage of development of the individual.

Role overview:
- Responsible for the day to day delivery of excellence in quality care provision, through the coordination and leadership of the Uplift Team across headspace Stride QLD sites
- Work in partnership with the Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Services Manager (Complex & Severe Programs)
- Working closely with the Clinical Services Manager for operational oversight of the Uplift program
- A key focus is in ensuring the development and integration of the Uplift program into the broader headspace Stride services
- This role will carry a reduced clinical caseload in support of the team's clinicians
- You may be required to work one late shift per week - 11.00 - 19.30
Requirements:
- Seeking one of the following: Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist or Occupational Therapist with General AHPRA registration OR registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker (desired but not essential to hold mental health accreditation)
- Knowledge and understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions and clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of youth mental health and alcohol and drug use.
- Demonstrated expertise in the management of a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to lead the coordination of care for young people with complex needs including consultation and engagement with a wide range of professionals
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Good computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and capacity to learn how to use a clinical software package for electronic client records
- Desired experience in assertive engagement, case management and crisis management for complex mental health needs
- Must hold a full drivers licence
