Under our Soup Vans program, our dedicated team of volunteers has delivered more than 750,000 meals annually in rain, hail or shine. Volunteers provide soup, sandwiches, fruit and other food and drinks at public locations advertised on our website, as well as boarding and rooming houses, crisis accommodation, social housing and other residential locations.
Currently operating from Footscray, the Inner City, Dandenong, Melton, Berwick and Traralgon; our service is developing and expanding.
As the Soup Van Coordinator, you will provide support and resourcing for the Soup Van Program across Victoria. The position is responsible for the smooth running of the Soup Van Program, ensuring all volunteers are inducted safely and efficiently, food and vehicle safety regulations are met, training materials are regularly updated, and volunteer compliance is monitored and maintained.
The role will be based onsite supporting the Soup Van operations, with visits to Central Office or other Soup Van locations in Melbourne as required.
