We are seeking a purpose led and values driven Community Engagement Support Officer to join our Community Engagement team.

About the role

This exciting new position plays a key role in supporting our Community Engagement team in the delivery of our SaintsPlay Program. SaintsPlay is a fun, footy program that aims to disrupt the current pathway of inequity by increasing opportunities for children with developmental challenges, visible and invisible disabilities, including autism, to be included in and play sport. You will provide coordination, logistic and administrative support to the team, as well delivering and facilitating SaintsPlay sessions. You’ll be the point of contact for participants, as well as liaising with multiple external stakeholders and community partners. You’ll also support program delivery of other St Kilda FC Community Engagement programs and initiatives.

About you

You have a fun and enthusiastic nature with a passion for working with children and young adults. Your interpersonal and communication skills are strong, and you can communicate and work with young people and adults with varying life experiences.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are a natural collaborator with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. You’re a self-starter, with a growth mindset and a commitment to self-improvement.

What you need

  • Demonstrated experience working with children/young people with disability
  • Knowledge of the disability sector and NDIS frameworks
  • Exceptional organisational, time management and administrative skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and facilitate sessions outside of business hours, and across multiple sites
  • Tertiary education and/or experience working as an occupational therapist, or in an allied health field is desirable but not essential
  • Valid Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Clearance Check
