A career-defining opportunity has arisen within our Marketing and Community team, based at our state office in Mount Waverley. We are searching for a passionate, energetic and highly organised public relations and communications professional who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to customer centricity.

Reporting to the Marketing and Community Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of public relations and communications activities, community programs and social content. This is a rare opportunity to join our expanding organisation in Victoria and truly contribute to the humanitarian objectives of St John.

About You

Essential Skills and Attributes (Selection Criteria):

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in PR, Media, Communications, Marketing or Social Media.
  • Experience pitching, crafting and placing media stories.
  • Experience with content creation across social media platforms (written and visual), posting and scheduling content for social networks, monitoring a brand’s social channels and responding to activity on social media.
  • Knowledge of social and digital media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram) and best practice.
  • Strong writing ability and experience with a focus on the audience needs.
  • Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates sound verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to undertake a current Police check and Working with Children Check

Note: Experience with analytics tools, content management systems or Adobe Suite programs is desirable.
