St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. (St John NT) has been active in the Northern Territory for over 70 years with a long, proud history nationally and internationally dedicated to helping people in sickness, illness or danger and with strong commitment to volunteerism. We are a community minded organisation providing volunteer first aid services and community education to build resilience and public safety. We are contracted by the Northern Territory Government to provide the road ambulance emergency response in key locations across the Northern Territory.

We are looking for two Volunteer and Events Coordinators who will be responsible for coordinating and planning for the provision of health services such as first aid in events throughout the Northern Territory whilst supporting and building the capacity of our volunteer workforce.

The position will be full time, with the requirement to travel and work occasionally on the weekend and outside business hours.

The position will report to the Director of Volunteers and be required to work closely with our exceptional volunteers, ambulance services and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant must be able to address the below selection criteria.

Selection Criteria

• Relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of administration, events, or project management experience in a not for profit or volunteer organisation/s.
• Experience working in a Health or Emergency services environment.
• Experience in planning, organising and coordinating resources for events/functions.
• Experience in group facilitation, volunteer recruitment, training and support.
• Experience in community development and capacity building.
• High level of customer service.
• All positions require an NT Drivers Licence, Current Ochre Card (Working with Children) or the ability to obtain one, National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one and First Aid Certificate at Provide First Aid Level (HLTAID003) is desirable.
