Spectrum is currently recruiting for a Client Support Worker to work in the Humanitarian Settlement Services (HSS) Program. The HSS program provides support to newly arrived migrants holding permanent humanitarian visas from upon their arrival to Australia to generally 6 months of their initial settlement period. Working with Spectrum in the HSS program means you will be a part in the settlement journey for newly arrived migrants, helping them feel at home.
The HSS Client Support Worker works collaboratively as part of the HSS team and with the Case Manager to provide service outcomes, information and referrals to clients. The Client Support Worker will also assist with the settlement orientation outcomes to ensure that clients are meeting their settlement goals their first months of arrival to Australia. The client support worker will assist the Case Manager to provide appropriate cultural support through interpreting and knowledge sharing as needed. The Client Support Worker will work with clients and provide early practical support to help settle into their local community and to feel at home in Australia.
This is a short term contract that will end on the 27th October 2017.
